We were also told that about 60- 70% of our bodies are made up of water.
Consequently, it is the main constituent of all the primary body fluids in our body. These include blood, saliva, synovial fluid, and urine. So you can't ignore its necessity. So, water's existence and importance is no secret to any of us anymore.
Moreover, water is that one simple change in your routine that could do wonders for you and your body. Unfortunately, most of us overlook drinking water and tend to stay dehydrated for an extended period of time.

Any time you're using or losing more fluid than the amount you're taking in, you're bound to get dehydrated. Since your body doesn't have enough water and other fluids to carry out its normal functions, you will have to refill your system to make up for the lack of fluids.

- You're going to feel tired and thirsty: This is so obvious yet so easily overlooked. Feeling thirsty is one of the easiest ways to identify that your body needs water! Dehydration makes your energy levels drop. The lack of water makes that afternoon slump even harder during the day, increasing tiredness, making it more challenging to continue with work, and your evening workout almost impossible.
- Dry mouth and Bad Breath: Dehydration makes you have a dry mucous membrane, which means a lack of saliva. Water is vital for saliva production, and it also helps to rinse away bacteria. Consequently, due to lack of saliva, you're bound to have bad breath and dry mouth.
- Increase in mood swings and decrease in brain efficiency: Staying hydrated boosts brain efficiency and health. It also prevents mental drowsiness and improves memory. Dehydration tends to impact your mood negatively and ends up making you feel more cranky and easily irritable.
- Urine and Digestive Issues: Dehydration causes dark-colored as well as strong-smelling urine. Moreover, you tend to pee less if you're not drinking enough water. Dehydration also leads to digestive issues like constipation, along with cramps and aches in your abdominal region.
- Decreases your chances of losing weight: If you're planning to lose some pounds, the first step is to drink a lot of water as it can increase your metabolism. Water helps your body to generate new cells, which leads to muscle growth and weight loss. You must consume water before meals as well! It prevents overeating. That said, if you're trying to lose weight and skipping necessary fluid intakes, it's going to be exceptionally hard.
All of this can be avoided if you just keep a water bottle by your side to access water whenever you feel thirsty easily!
