Busting Top 5 Myths on Water Purifiers

Water purifier is one of those appliances the need of which has never been any important than it is in today’s time. However, like any appliance, water purifier also comes along with certain myths which need to be dealt otherwise these misbeliefs influence our perception towards a respective subject. Following are the common myths about a water purifier that must be busted asap:

  1. Boiling is not enough- Something that we all have been listening since ages that once you boil water, you are good to consume the same as it is pure now. Unfortunately, that’s not true at all. Boiling does kill certain germs and bacteria present but not all impurities are removed.
  2. Loss of essential minerals and nutrients in water purifiers- Water purifiers do not remove all essential minerals and nutrients. The process of RO (Reverse Osmosis) does eliminate few minerals but not all are lost. Hence, saying that purifiers are not safe is a myth.
  3. Costly maintenance- Water Purifier is not one of those appliances which requires heavy maintenance which often people misconceive it as. People often think that it would be costly to maintain the purifier and its actual efficiency, which is again a misbelief. [Also Read: 3 Simple Maintenance Tips For Your Water Purifier]
  4. They are expensive- We do watch advertisements on television or through online media and always say that how expensive it looks where in reality, it might be quite affordable. So, those who say that purifiers are those which be only afforded by the rich or elite people, that is completely baseless. Buy one for yourself now.
  5. Purifiers can ONLY be mounted on wall- It is also seen that people who live on rental basis avoid buying a purifier because they feel it will be required to mount on wall and this won’t be entertained by the landlord and he might not allow, again which is not true. Water purifiers can also be placed on counter top and be used with same ease or convenience like any mounted piece.

I hope I had been successful to a certain extent in busting those peculiar myths about purifiers. Do not follow any misbelief blindly and buy a water purifier NOW.
