With growing pollution, adulterated food, workload and consequent stress and various other health problems, desire for a strong immunity has grown manifolds. Well, healthy immunity is not just necessary to deal with various diseases, infections and other health problems but also, ensures a longer & healthier life. We do not take care of our immunity like we do for our skin and many might not agree with this statement but this is the harsh reality. How many of us make sure that we do eat seasonal fruits? Or add those ancient medically proven herbs in diet? Maybe a good number of people do but not all of us. Definitely there are numerous reasons to it (like cost, lifestyle, allergies etc.) but that does not mean we can turn our eyes from that aspect, we still have to eat fruits, herbs, nuts, vegetables and to top it all, a balance lifestyle for a better immunity.

  • Add Ashwagandha In Diet: Ashwagandha, also known as Indian Ginseng, is one of the magical herbs we have never paid much attention towards. We all have heard from our grandparents about the benefits of ashwagandha but couldn’t add it into our diet, primarily because of nagging lifestyle (lol). Start consuming it for a stronger immunity. You can consume it 1 hour before going to bed at night. Take a glass of warm milk, add 1 tbsp of Ashwagandha, mix well and drink. Disclaimer- if you have a medical history of being intolerant to Ashwagandha, consult a doctor beforehand. Also, if you are lactose intolerant, you can replace milk with water. Unending set of benefits of Ashwagandha- it helps regulating blood sugar, enhances mood, relieves stress & anxiety and even boost muscle strength and fertility.

  • Magical Giloy: Giloy, also known as Amrita or the root of immortality, is one of the most powerful medical herbs in Ayurveda. No wonder it is bestowed with Amrita title. Take a glass of warm water and add 1 tbsp of giloy powder, mix well and consume every morning empty stomach. Ultimate benefits attached to giloy- it helps in flushing out toxins present in body, helps in blood purification and eliminates the bad bacteria.

  • Delicious Mint Drink: To all those who love to drink sweet composition, here is a drink which you would love to cherish. First add 500 ML of water in a saucepan further add ½ tsp of turmeric to it and boil it for 2 minutes. Now, add 10-12 leaves of mint & boil for another 2-3 minutes. Strain and pour the mixture in a glass. Wait for some time until the drink is cooled and then add 1 tbsp of honey for taste. Now have fun!   • Turmeric: Aaah one of the most common yet one of the most useful spices present in our kitchen. Now, definitely you cannot eat it just like that but gobble it in the form of a drink. Take a glass of warm milk and add ½ tsp of turmeric, mix well and drink before going to bed. Turmeric gives an instant boost to our immunity and has rich anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory & anti-microbial properties.

  • Indian Gooseberry: That’s heavy name right and don’t worry, it’s no imported berry, it’s our Amla (lol). I know it’s extreme sour taste makes it difficult to eat but there are ample ways through which it can be consumed. You can drink it in the form of a juice, or eat it raw (only if you have that much courage, haha), or you can enjoy amla pickle.
