  • Ginger & Turmeric Kadha: A healthy recipe which is infused with rich properties of ginger and turmeric. While ginger has antioxidants and elements which reduces stress and damage to DNA, turmeric is highly beneficial for heart and also has anti-cancerous property.

 

Preparation:

  1. Add ginger (2 inch), cinnamon (1 inch), cloves (half teaspoon), green cardamom (5 nos.), black pepper (1 teaspoon) in a grinder or a traditional mortar & pestle.
  2. Crush and create a rough ginger spice paste.
  3. Take a saucepan or any utensil and add 4 cups of pure water.
  4. Now add the prepared ginger mix, turmeric (1/2 teaspoon), jaggery (1 teaspoon).
  5. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Check if the flavours have been thoroughly absorbed.
  7. Strain & add lemon juice (1 teaspoon).
  8. Serve & enjoy.

  • Ginger & Tulsi Kadha- Tulsi is a medicinal herb and no wonder it has been highly regarded in our culture. Tulsi herb is laden with properties effective in reducing fever, cough and other respiratory disorders and not to forget, it’s a natural immunity booster. Let’s start preparing our new potion.

 

Preparation:

  1. Take a saucepan or any utensil and add 4 cups of water.
  2. Now add bay leaf or tejpatta (2 nos.), tulsi (few leaves), ginger (I inch; chopped), cinnamon (1 inch), green cardamom (3 nos.), black pepper (1 teaspoon), cloves (1/2 teaspoon).
  3. Mix well all the ingredients.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Check if all the flavours have been absorbed.
  6. Strain & add 1 teaspoon honey for taste.

  • Mint Kadha- This thoroughly enriched herb is well known around for its ‘cooling’ properties. It has nutrients which helps us in improving digestion, improves functioning of brain, as a mouth freshener and more to count and it brings no surprise to us why it has been widely used in preparing various chutneys and of course, in various main course preparations as well. Now let’s jump into the recipe.

 

Preparation:

  1. Take traditional mortar & pestle or a grinder and add mint (handful).
  2. Now add cinnamon (1 inch), clove (1/2 teaspoon), black pepper (1/2 teaspoon) and green cardamom (4 nos.)
  3. Now grind or crush this mix and turn it into a rough paste.
  4. Now take a saucepan or any utensil, add 4 cups of water.
  5. Add mint mix to and boil for 5 minutes.
  6. Boil once all the flavours have been properly dissolved.
  7. Strain & add lemon juice (1 teaspoon).
  8. Serve piping hot
